Microsoft Teams Introduces New "EA" Indicator for Public Preview Users

Microsoft Teams has recently introduced a new "EA" indicator for users who are part of the Public Preview channel. Previously, these users had a "P" next to their profile picture, but starting now, the "EA" symbol will be used to indicate that they have Early Access to new Teams features.

What's Changing and When?

The "EA" indicator is already available for Public Preview users. From now on, those enrolled in this channel will see the "EA" symbol next to their profile picture/avatar, as shown in the image above.

Impact on Your Organization

By implementing the new "EA" indicator, Microsoft Teams aims to make it easier for organizations to recognize Public Preview users with early access to features. This will help to streamline communication and collaboration within your organization.

How to Prepare

To adapt to this change, update your training materials and documentation accordingly. Inform your users about the new "EA" indicator and its significance.

Providing Feedback on Public Preview Features

Microsoft Teams highly values user feedback on its features, especially those in Public Preview. Encourage your users to provide feedback through the Teams app by selecting Help > Give feedback and following the prompts. Their insights will help shape the Microsoft Teams experience for your organization and others around the world.
